I am more adept at designing in blender and was wondering whether there was another similar easy-to use tool that has been made for blender?

I have actually made something with wallworm and managed to get on the 'currently popular this week' section of the GMOD workshop. Here it is:

Now for the question that I was going to ask. I have been trying to find good tutorials for making player models from scratch and then exporting them to garrysmod. I haven't been able to find anything for blender or 3ds max so far which are the two pieces of 3d modelling software that I have installed. Then I had a thought. Is there anything on wallworm at the moment that lets you rig skeletons to a player model and export it? If so is there any documentation to help?

The first option I am not sure whether is possible as when I try to export the vtf's it says there need to be bitmap or psd vtf's which I obviously don't have. I will have a look at the second option.

I have just followed a tutorial at this link:

to make a Pokeball and finished it. It looks really good but when I tried to export it, I was able to export the qc and model but when I tried to export the vtf's and vmt it said It doesn't have any textures. The tutorial only uses colours instead of actual textures so I am wondering if the VTF step is needed if only colours are used? I am quite new to making custom content as well as using 3ds max so I am unable to answer this question myself...

WWMT Questions / VTFs wont export with an cant open file error?

I have recently started using 3ds max and wall worm and have got a model that I want to put into garry's mod. the QC and model compile fine but when I try to compile the VTF and VMT, it will only export the VMT. I get this error:

I think I have my paths set up correctly as I imported my gameconfig.txt and they seemed to have same paths as the video I was watching. Any reason why it isn't working?
Also I installed wall worm two days ago so I think its the newest version...
