Title: Sequence Animation?
Post by: Watercycle on September 11, 2012, 06:02:43 PM
I'm sorry to need a post for this; what are the steps for a basic animated model with wallworm?

I thought it was as simple as ->

1) make box / texture / collision hull
2) set up 3ds max animation for the box
3) select box in wallworm
4) uncheck staticprop
5) add new sequence (with proper frames of course)
6) export/compile

but in hammer model viewer the result is a sequence with the frame timeline specified, but the box doesn't follow ( move at all) with the animation made in 3ds

You're lucky.. I am on vacation but jumped online tonight before we get involved in the next thing!

When using the WWMT Fallback SMD Exporter AND animating the root node, you have to uncheck the Use Local Origin as World Origin option in WW. The reason is that the Origin Node is always at the model's [0,0,0] coordinates at export time. In the future, this may not be the case.
